Mikaela O’Malley is an analog photographer and multidisciplinary artist based in Chicago, Illinois. Art has always been a part of Mikaela’s life and has taken many forms. After picking up a camera at 12 years old, photography never left her life. She started shooting film in 2016 after finding her mother’s Canon AE-1 in a closet in her childhood home. Mikaela is always seeking new mediums and topics in her art, following themes such as transcendence, documentation, ethereality, and form. She has continued to do illustration and photography in both digital and analog formats.
